Just wanted to let you know how much your blog – and your link to the partner visa information – has helped another family working to keep wife and kids in Australia. We have it easy – I am American, all five kids are ours and we have been together for over 15 years, married for close to 11. But since hubby didn’t get his Australian citizenship through descent until AFTER four of the five kids, it has cost a fortune to stay. Now we hope to get a 100 visa immediately rather than having to ship 5 of 7 of us overseas – which we have no money for – for a 309 approval. I have always realized we have it easy in comparison to other migrants though. Thank you for sharing your story and keeping it an issue. My blog – http://www.twintensity.blogspot.com – has been all happy fluff since I didn’t want to risk offending anyway. Thanks again for keeping it real, too!

Welcome Christine. Good luck with the 100, from the sounds of it you are a straightforward case! Can’t see any grounds for denial after 15 years together and five kids!

Thank you for your kind words, we appreciate the support! I’ll pop over and read your “happy fluff” over the weekend.

      Have a GREAT Australia Day!
