Have you seen the elephants?

Recently I saw an elephant.  A very colourful elephant.

Then I saw another. And another. I discovered all these elephants were to promote the 150th birthday of the Melbourne Zoo.

I think these elephants are pretty stunning and they have inspired me to take the family to the Melbourne Zoo this coming weekend (weather and Mr O’s overtime permitting).

Each elephant has been inspired by someone and I have included the plaques below.

According to the Melbourne Zoo, there are 50 of the Mali herd around town.  Have you seen any?

    Because my favourite colour is blue I love the Ming elephant, although the Tiger elephant is just so cute too! I saw a similar exhibition in Cascais (Lisbon), although the elephants seemed a tad smaller, but my camera ran out of batteries after taking 2 photos…

      Me too. I think it may be because he has eyes! The others do not seem to have eyes.

    Oh I love them, I think the Ming one is best. Bit like the sheep we’ve had here :-)

    Nifty! I LOVE it when cities put out statues and other objects to be painted like this – such fun!

    LOL! I love the tiger elephant … how strange looking. We have moose in Canada like these elephants!
