Blossoms from buds to bloom
This morning I took the last shot I am going to take of the budding blooms.
Here is the entire sequence, starting with last Tuesday.
A few days later….
Sunday late afternoon….
Tuesday morning, taken from a slightly different angle.
This was a week: Tuesday morning to Tuesday morning. I know they won’t last long, but while they do they are such a pretty reminder that the cycles of nature’s seasons continue and outlast human war, anger and hate.
If we don’t manage to kill off our environment with our material greed and lack of foresight.

love these Robyn…spring is on its way
Thanks Jo! The tree has new leaves now too!
It’s a strange world. One side of the globe things are blooming, on her other side autumn just started…
We are starting to get SLIGHTLY warmer days, although the nights and mornings are still damn cold!
Cool sequence! And thanks for sharing them with us. I have to say spring is barely cracking here in Wellington, but my wife has a monster gardening adventure planned this weekend to prepare for it. As I am a garden luddite with a proclivity to annihilate any plant less tough than a cactus, this is entirely her department!
“I am a garden luddite with a proclivity to annihilate any plant less tough than a cactus” aou describes me too, unfortunately. I should be planting in the vegie plot, but I have NO IDEA what I should be planting. And this, sadly, from a farmer’s daughter – AND we grew most of our vegetables! I feel I should know something!
Absolutely beautiful, Robyn. Looking forward to the picture of the whole tree being alight!
Thank you! I’ll give the tree a couple more days, I think. It is nearly there!
It’s fascinating to see how a simple flower bud unfolds before our eyes. Thank you for taking time to take the photos. Simple things are usually the best – and give us the greatest satisfaction.
I was surprised it only took a week. Admittedly not all of the buds are open yet, but many of them are. Once the whole tree is alight I’ll take another shot and use it somewhere.
Lovely!
Catching up… slowly but surely. TY dear one!
Lovely to have you back!
Absolutely beautiful… and I love that you kept up your daily shots of it…
