Now the bug nabbed my husband
Now my husband has the tummy bug. Thankfully it should not last long – mine didn’t.
Very windy outside today, dust and rubbish blowing everywhere. This part of town is in the process of being pulled down and rebuilt. On Friday afternoon I saw about 1,000 foreigners, mostly Indian, lined up at one of the demolition sites looking for work. So many seeking a new life, yet got here to find they are worse off than in their own country. We hear rumours Qatar has stopped the visa type my husband has, due to such problems. He will be coming home eventually: these people are stuck. So very sad. I do not blame Qatar: it is other people who found a way to use this visa to rip off many people.
I should have taken a photo, but it was the one time I walked out of the hotel without my camera.
The hotel do not understand cleaning rooms: or they are still struggling with the concept of our marriage! They originally wanted to give us two separate rooms, did I mention that?

Thanks for the photos of Qatar! Too many of us in Europe / N. America complain without knowing how tooo tooo many others live!, fight to survive, what it takes to feed their families!
Thank you for your interest. Yes, you have actually hit very close to the topic what I am publishing tomorrow. Those of us in “lucky” countries tend to really be unable to empathise. I include myself in that, although obviously I do have a far greater appreciation due to my husband’s life.
